With the suspended bass and running lead, the guitar produces two voices (Bass and treble). Technique: This piece is a slow piece. The challenge is to hold bass note which is struck with the thumb- mostly A (open 5th string). Try and suspend the bass as long as possible. Two notes are plucked with the thumb and middle (pm) finger most of the time. Tip: A good solo guitar piece always contain 2 or more voices. Having voice diversity broadens the guitar's musical capability. e|--------------|-0----------0-|--------------|-------------| B|--------------|--------------|-0-------1--0-|-------------| G|-2----------2-|--------------|--------------|-2---------2-| D|------2-------|------2-------|------0-------|-----2-------| A|-0------------|-0------------|--------------|-0-----------| E|--------------|--------------|-3------------|-------------| LH 3 2 3 2 3 1 3 2 3 RH m i m a i a m i m i m i m p p p p -------------------------------------------------------------- e|------0-----3-|-5----------3-|-0----2-------|-0-----------| B|--------------|--------------|------------3-|-------------| G|--------------|--------------|--------------|-----------2-| D|--------------|--------------|------0-------|-----2-------| A|-0------------|------0-------|-3------------|-0-----------| E|--------------|--------------|--------------|-------------| LH 1 3 1 3 2 4 2 3 RH p m i m p i m m i m i m p p p -------------------------------------------------------------- e|------5-----5-|-3----------0-|-0------------|-------------| B|--------------|--------------|------3-----1-|-0-----------| G|--------------|------0-------|--------------|-----------0-| D|--------------|--------------|--------------|-----0-------| A|-0------------|-3------------|-3----2-----0-|-------------| E|--------------|--------------|--------------|-3-----------| LH 4 4 4 3 4 1 3 3 2 RH p i m m i m m m m m i m p p p p p -------------------------------------------------------------- e|------------0-|--------------|--------------|-------------| B|--------------|-3----------1-|-0------------|-------------| G|-2------------|--------------|------2-----0-|-2---------2-| D|------2-------|------0-------|--------------|-----2-------| A|-0------------|--------------|--------------|-0-----------| E|--------------|-1------------|-3------------|-------------| LH 3 2 4 2 3 2 3 2 3 1 RH m i a m i m m i m m i m p p p p -------------------------------------------------------------- e|--------------|--------------| B|--------------|--------------| G|------------2-|--------------| D|------2-------|--------------| A|-0------------|-0------------| E|--------------|--------------| LH 2 3 RH p i m p ---------------------------------------------------------------
